So, play it safe and rest assured !
The costs linked to a cancellation stay may be covered by an insurance proposed by YellohVillage, at a cost of 4% of the amount of the stay (for rental accommodation and pitch). This guarantee must be taken out at the time of booking and the corresponding amount must be paid with the 15% deposit requested.
Example for a stay in a cottage from June 25th to July 02nd, 2022
Rental price for 1 week = 595 €
15% deposit to be paid to confirm = 89 €
Insurance fee corresponding to 4% of the rental amount = 23.80 €
>> Total amount of the deposit to be paid when booking: 89€ + 23.80€ = 112.80€
The cancellation guarantee allows you to be refunded for the sums paid (franchise deducted) for many situations such as illness including Covid-19, redundancy, cancellation or modification of holidays, etc…Find below a non-exhaustive list of guarantees offered by the insurer:

Our partner ‘Campez Couvert – Gritchen Affinity’ undertakes to refund you for all sums paid and kept by the campsite, after deducting the insurance fee (see table of cover amounts) when you are required to cancel your trip before departure for reasons beyond your control, to the exclusion of any mass risk of our policies (border closure, state of health emergency, general confinement, etc.) To find out about all the guarantees and exclusions, consult the CGA.
You must notify the campsite of your withdrawal upon the occurrence of an event preventing your departure by postmail or email. You must also report your claim to ‘Gritchen – Campez Couvert’ and accompany your declaration with:
You must provide us with the documents and medical information necessary for the processing of your file on behalf of the medical adviser who we will send you upon receipt of the claim, as well as the medical questionnaire to be completed by your doctor. If you do not have these documents or information, you must have them communicated to you by your attending physician and send them back to us.
